Job summary

Marathon Health Inc is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Illinois. The Medical Assistant works closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and a positive guest experience, serving as both a medical receptionist and clinical support.

The role covers specimen collection, vital signs, injections, medication administration, and patient outreach while supporting front-desk duties and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration is preferred and may be required in certain states.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review medical information and gather updated health information for the provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, assist with procedures and coordinate with labs.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, chart requests, referrals, and care coordination.
• Record data in the medical record and communicate results to patients.
