Regional Market General Manager — Distributorship Lead

Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a Market General Manager II to oversee a company-owned distributorship. You will lead the local sales team, manage P/L, and drive distributor performance in line with regional goals.

You will review financials, optimize inventory, supervise operations, and build strong dealer relationships. A results-oriented leader with 5+ years in distribution is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience.
• Experience in a Warehouse or Distribution environment is preferred.
• Computer skills including basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of battery business and/or automotive systems is preferred.
• Fosters teamwork - Interest, skill, and success in getting groups to learn to work together cooperatively.

Responsibilities

• Direct accountability for the Profit & Loss (P/L) and budget performance for the distributorship.
• Review, monitor, and analyze weekly scorecards and monthly financials to identify variances in FY plans and create action plans with leadership.
• Investigate and communicate to the team activities that contributed to significant positive results.
• Track Accounts Receivable (AR) to maintain an acceptable level for the region and develop action plans for high AR balances.
• Participate in developing the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
• Assess and manage inventory flow to ensure warehouse inventory and part number accuracy, and minimize waste.
