Job summary

Thompson Pump is seeking a Regional Manager for the Port Orange, FL area. The role oversees all sales activities across the defined territory and develops distribution channels including dealers, national accounts, municipalities, and direct end users.

Candidate will lead territory growth, manage customer relationships, provide quotes and demonstrations, and ensure adherence to TPM policies while using Sales Force CRM for plans and reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years progressive supervisory/managerial experience.
• Prior experience with pumps, wellpointing and dewatering equipment preferred.
• Utility construction experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
• Strong business math skills.
• Must be computer literate.
• Working knowledge of pumps, hydraulics and operating principles.
• Ability to read and convey technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, direct, coordinate and manage activities to meet territory objectives.
• Achieve sales goals by supporting distribution, new distribution and key customers.
• Establish and grow distributor networks and municipal accounts.
• Work with Municipal Sales Manager to grow municipal sales.
• Conduct sales calls, training, site visits, quotes and demonstrations.
• Enforce TPM policies and procedures; submit plans and reports via CRM.
• Analyze territory and set annual goals and strategies.
• Represent TPM at trade shows and training events.

POSITION OBJECTIVES: Manage all sales activities related to the Thompson Pump & Manufacturing Co., Inc. assigned territory. Establish and manage different channels to market, including distributors, dealers, private label, national account, municipal, and direct to end user sales.

• Oversee, direct, coordinate and manage all activities in accordance with the objectives established for the defined territory.
• Responsible for achieving established sales goals by supporting the efforts of the existing distribution, establishing new distribution, and working with all other TPM customers in the territory including, but not limited to, contractors, dealers, national accounts, local municipalities, government agencies, engineering firms, oil & gas markets, industrial plants, private label accounts, and OEMs.
• Establish new distribution in defined territory or expand existing distribution.
• Work closely with Municipal Sales Manager to grow sales to municipalities in the defined territory.
• Responsible for working with all customers including, but not limited to, sales calls, training, visiting jobsites, preparing quotations and demonstrating pumps and/or equipment.
• Responsible for following and enforcing all TPM policies and procedures.
• Submit goals, plans, reports and analyses using Sales Force CRM.
• Evaluate territory and assist in establishing annual goals and objectives. Help develop and execute strategies to obtain those targets.
• Participate in trade shows, customer training schools, and other company events.
