Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a Regional Maintenance Technician to join our Greater Boston team. This role covers multiple properties in Attleboro, Walpole, Franklin, Stoughton, Fall River, Raynham and Quincy, performing maintenance across units, common areas, offices and grounds.

You will train other technicians and support preventive maintenance programs. The position pays $30.00-$35.00 per hour, depending on experience, with a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule and on-call responsibilities as

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC.
• Ability to travel within assigned territory with occasional overnight stay.
• Ability to work in English and with a diverse group.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain appliances, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Lead and train other maintenance technicians.

Job description

WinnCompanies is looking for a Regional Maintenance Technicianto join our regional team in the Greater Boston area.

Please note that this regional position may be assigned to any property in the portfolio and is expected to work at multiple sites throughout Greater Boston in Attleboro, Walpole, Franklin, Stoughton, Fall River, Raynham and Quincybased on the need. In this role, you will perform maintenance functions in your assigned communities, including rental units, residential common areas, office, grounds and parking lots. You will also lead and train other maintenance technicians on the team.
The pay range for this role is $30.00-$35.00 per hour dependent on experience. The selected candidate will adhere to the following schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, problem solve, and make repairs in such areas as, but not limited to: appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and basic and HVAC.
• Lead and train other maintenance technicians.
• Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating procedures.
• Ensure vacant apartments are prepared for occupancy and market ready in accordance with company standards.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor in leading and assisting the completion of the preventive maintenance program, building and safety inspections and annual unit inspections.
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping and trash management activities.
• Be available for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies based on a pre-determined schedule and need.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
• A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning).
• Ability to travel within assigned territory with occasional overnight stay.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic familiarity with computers and tablets.
• Availability for on-call activity only when needed
• Ability to speak and understand basic English.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Vocational or technical training.
• Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMT).
