Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a Regional Maintenance Technician to support properties across Northern California, the Bay Area, and the Central Valley. You will perform appliance repairs, carpentry, basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, and help prepare vacant units for occupancy.

This role requires travel up to 75% with mileage reimbursement. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and you may lead and train other technicians while ensuring safety and quality across communities.

Qualifications

3-5 years of affordable housing maintenance experience.
Drivers license in good standing and clean driving record.
General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, and carpentry.
Travel within assigned territory with occasional overnight stay.
Excellent customer service skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer familiarity.
On-call availability for urgent needs.
English-speaking ability.
Ability to work with a diverse group of people.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, problem solve, and repair appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting, basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
Lead and train other maintenance technicians.
Complete service requests per operating procedures.
Ensure vacant apartments are market-ready.
Assist Maintenance Supervisor with preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and unit inspections.
Maintain grounds and curb appeal including snow removal and trash management.
Be available for on-call activity during off-hours.
