WinnCompanies is seeking a Regional Maintenance Technician to support properties across Northern California, the Bay Area, and the Central Valley. You will perform appliance repairs, carpentry, basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, and help prepare vacant units for occupancy.

This role requires travel up to 75% with mileage reimbursement. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and you may lead and train other technicians while ensuring safety and quality across communities.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of affordable housing maintenance experience.
• Drivers license in good standing and clean driving record.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Travel within assigned territory with occasional overnight stay.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer familiarity.
• On-call availability for urgent needs.

About the Opportunity

WinnCompanies is looking for a dynamic Regional Maintenance Technician to support various properties in Northern California/ Bay Area.

In this role, you will perform maintenance functions and work-orders for the communities, including appliance repairs, apartment turnovers, and maintenance of the exterior of our properties. This position includes traveling throughout Northern California, the Bay Area, and the Central Valley.

Please note that this position requires travel to various properties at least 75% of the time using your own vehicle. Mileage reimbursement is available.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 to $33.00 per hour, depending on experience. Ad additionally, the selected candidate will typically work: Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, problem solve, and make repairs in such areas as, but not limited to: appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and basic and HVAC.
• Lead and train other maintenance technicians.
• Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating procedures.
• Ensure vacant apartments are prepared for occupancy and market ready in accordance with company standards.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor in leading and assisting the completion of the preventive maintenance program, building and safety inspections and annual unit inspections.
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping and trash management activities.
• Be available for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies based on a pre-determined schedule and need.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of related affordable housing maintenance experience
• A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and/or carpentry.
• Ability to travel within assigned territory with occasional overnight stay.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic familiarity with computers and tablets.
• Availability for on-call activity during off hours for urgent needs.
• Ability to speak and understand basic English.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Vocational or technical training.
• Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMT) certification.
• Advanced skills in at least 2 trades (electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
