Job summary

Target is seeking an Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Technician 2 (MT2) to maintain and repair automated material handling equipment at our Kansas facility. The role emphasizes electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting PLCs, and coordinating with a team to keep lines running.

You will perform preventive maintenance, operate MHE, and support safety procedures while collaborating with building leaders and other maintenance staff. Competitive pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Familiar with wiring diagrams, symbols and electrical measuring.
• Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance procedures and PLCs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair automated material handling equipment (MHE).
• Use preventive and predictive maintenance processes to keep equipment available.
• Troubleshoot equipment and rapidly restore service to support operations.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians and engineers on Root Cause Analysis.
• Train other maintenance staff and technician trainees to enhance skills.
