Job summary

Republic Services in Pontiac, MI is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance for a regional fleet of up to 60 vehicles and a team of technicians. You will ensure preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety compliance align with company standards.

You will plan repairs, monitor performance, manage budgets and training, and coordinate with operations to minimize downtime and maximize fleet readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in the transportation industry.
• Ability to manage multiple locations, priorities and personnel safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of engine, electrical and hydraulic systems and preventive maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Direct technicians and supervisors in the maintenance shop and satellite sites.
• Plan and schedule repair work to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
• Oversee safety programs, quality control inspections and performance reviews.
• Manage budgets, payroll records and equipment records in maintenance software.
