Job summary

United Road is seeking a Regional Director of Maintenance in Plymouth, MI to lead cost-effective preventive maintenance and repairs across the region, ensuring safety and reliability of our fleet. The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, vendor liaison, and the ability to drive process improvements while meeting corporate objectives and CSA targets.

Travel to terminals and vendor locations will be required.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people management experience.
• 5-7 years of heavy equipment repair experience.
• Management experience in heavy truck repair.
• Willingness to travel to terminals and vendor locations as needed.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Staff and equip regional maintenance shops ensuring coverage and staffing.
• Direct shop management personnel and oversee operations.
• Ensure cost-effective purchasing and tracking of inventory parts.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and major repairs across the region.
• Monitor CSA metrics and implement process improvements to meet goals.
