Job summary

Sysco Denver is seeking a Director of Local Sales to lead District Sales Managers and drive the region's financial plan, customer engagement, and sales growth.

This senior role demands strategic leadership, coaching, strong analytical skills, and the ability to execute cross-functionally with marketing and operations, with travel up to 10%.

You will partner with the VP of Sales on territory planning and budgeting to deliver results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5+ years managing professional sales teams.
• 5+ years leading a B2B sales team in a foodservice environment.
• Experience coaching and developing district sales managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of District Sales Managers and sales associates to service and develop local customers within the region and deliver the required financial plan.
• Coach, train, performance manage, and provide feedback to improve associate performance.
• Facilitate collaborative team selling culture to maximize sales and customer engagement.
• Own customer engagement efforts by enabling the team to provide Sysco customers with expanded service channel options (e.g., Sysco Shop).
• Fully leverage Sysco’s proprietary CRM tool for planning, forecasting, and daily engagement; drive utilization among all associates.
• Deliver Sysco brand results and directly manage conversion opportunities within the region; support national campaigns and promotions.
• Develop and coordinate sales selling cycle and methodology; implement CMP process for development of associates and managers.
• Use Territory Planning data for changes or allocations; support corporate changes and programs; ensure behavior and performance metrics are achieved.
