Job summary

Sysco is seeking aDirector of Local Sales to lead the regional sales organization across Upper Michigan and nearby areas including Iron Mountain, Marquette, Escanaba and surrounding areas.

You will coach District Sales Managers, drive the region’s financial plan, and partner with the VP of Sales to implement strategy, campaigns and territory planning while delivering strong customer engagement. Minimal travel required; up to 10% within region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years managing professional sales team in the foodservice industry and 5+ years leading a B2B sales team.
• Experience in professional sales environment with demonstrated success.
• Ability to lead a high performing district sales team to meet deadlines and deliver high quality results.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of District Sales Managers and sales associates to service regional customers and deliver the financial plan.
• Coaching, training, performance management, and feedback to improve associate performance.
• Facilitate collaborative team selling culture to maximize sales.
• Lead and direct Customer Engagement efforts and expand service channel options.
• Leverage CRM for planning, prospecting and daily engagement.
• Deliver Sysco brand results and manage regional opportunities.
• Develop and coordinate sales selling cycle and CMP-based development.
• Partner with VP of Sales on territory planning and key corporate changes.
