Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products seeks a hands-on manufacturing process improvement specialist to lead lean initiatives and capital projects across the Mid Atlantic region. This onsite role requires frequent travel between NC sites and regional locations to boost profitability, throughput and quality.

You will work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and EHS, guiding plant teams and managing project lifecycle from concept to ROI analysis.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably precast
• Experience applying lean manufacturing methodologies to support continuous operations
• Quality control/maintenance experience in manufacturing
• Proven ability to achieve results with lean techniques
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD; ERP/MRP and PM tools

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate and improve production methods using lean tools and quality standards
• Identify opportunities for improvement across regional locations to enhance profitability and competitiveness
• Provide guidance, training and mentoring to plant-level teams on lean initiatives
• Drive process change through hands-on communication with plant teams
• Optimize plant layout and flow to reduce inefficiencies and costs
• Lead plant improvement workshops to diagnose bottlenecks and address issues
• Provide kaizen, 5S training and lean techniques
• Track and follow up on identified improvement opportunities
• Translate operational needs into project requirements and specs
• Conduct ROI analyses for capital and CI initiatives
• Support leadership in prioritizing high-value investments
• Manage project commitments and monitor costs within budget
• Ensure compliance with Operational Excellence framework
