Regional Leader, Pharmacy Benefits Management - Southeast

Job summary

Lockton is seeking a Regional Leader to manage a team of consulting professionals serving employer clients. The role requires senior leadership in the health benefits space, strong client service, and the ability to drive growth and persistency across the region.

The ideal candidate will have extensive management experience, deep knowledge of pharmacy benefits, and a track record of delivering high-value solutions for complex accounts. Travel to client sites will be expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business related field.
• 15 to 20 years’ experience in PBMs or health plans.
• 7 to 10 years management experience preferred.
• Complete working knowledge of pharmacy benefits across multiple product lines (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial health plan, self-funded employer).
• Proven experience in developing and executing strategic plans that align with organizational goals and drive long-term growth.
• Excellent organization, communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of welfare benefits in multiple product lines (medical, dental, life, AD&D, disability) and risk/insurance basics.
• Excellent computer skills (word processing and spreadsheet).
• Willingness to travel and entertain clients/vendors as needed.
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred but not required.
• Legal right to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Minimal book of business responsibility.
• Overall responsibility for unit performance including growth and persistency.
• Provide direct client support and services for complex and high-profile clients.
• Develop rapport and enhance the team approach and service delivery to all accounts.
• Develop team for consistent high-value deliverables.
• Allocate resources/assign cases and prospect projects within the unit.
• Primary role in ensuring continued training and development for team members.
• Manage Associates and complete performance evaluations for unit with VP for Account team.
• Assist Producer or Chief Growth Officer in sales opportunities to prospective clients.
• Determine when involvement of Producer or Consulting Services Director is necessary in problem resolution.
• Oversees full region book of business to ensure client strategy is developed and achieved.
• Assist in peer review for unit’s client deliverables
• Build relationships with PBMs, specialty pharmacies, and other medicine vendors.
• Collaboration across specialty practices for relationships, efficiencies and solutions
• Maintain ongoing client relationships by attending on-site client meetings and events
• Attend internal meetings/educational programs
