Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of landfill experience or equivalent.
• Waste industry experience required.
• Experience managing P&L and budgets.
• Strong knowledge of EPA and state/local regulations.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to read landfill grades using surveyor instruments.
• 5+ years of heavy equipment experience preferred.
• SWANA certification preferred.
• State EPA certification preferred or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regional landfill operations, ensuring safety, productivity, cost control, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and support Landfill Managers while establishing operational, quality, and safety standards.
• Develop regional budgets, business plans, staffing requirements, and performance metrics.
• Monitor operating results and resolve production, maintenance, and compliance issues.
• Support landfill development and expansion, including equipment, staffing, infrastructure, and community relations.
• Coordinate operations with internal teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Manage employee performance, staffing, documentation, and other personnel matters.
• Maintain required operational, environmental, and compliance records.
