Job summary

WM is seeking an on-site Landfill Operations Supervisor to lead a team of operators, technicians, and lead personnel at a facility handling MSW and Hazardous Waste streams. You will coordinate workflow, oversee safety, and ensure efficient, compliant operations in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has experience in landfill or related field operations, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to drive results through teamwork and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 4 years of previous experience in landfill, construction, heavy civil, earthmoving, excavation, or similar field operations environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervises landfill staff and evaluates work for quality and timeliness.
• Coordinates workflow and assigns tasks toward operational goals.
• Monitors daily landfill operations and enforces safety regulations and company policies.
• Coordinates repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
• Collects weekly/monthly readings and submits reports.
• Oversees staffing needs, coaching, training, and evaluating employee performance.
