Job summary

GFL is seeking a Region Landfill Gas Manager to provide expert supervision of landfill gas systems, including design, operation, maintenance, planning, permitting, and regulatory compliance. The role oversees technicians and consultants, drives gas-to-energy initiatives, and supports budgeting and contract activities across the region.

The position requires a college degree in landfill gas management or equivalent experience, with strong leadership, project management, and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent in landfill gas management.
• Progressive experience in the design, installation and operation of landfill gas systems.
• Understanding of earthwork and HDPE pipe welding for landfill gas infrastructure construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide internal technical expertise related to development, operation and maintenance of landfill gas infrastructure.
• Coordinate and oversee the GFL landfill gas management program for the South Region.
• Plan and manage construction projects for landfill gas infrastructure.
• Maintain, update, and ensure compliance of internal best-practice standards for landfill gas infrastructure.
• Support development of landfill capital planning and ensures financial responsibility for landfill gas infrastructure.
