Job summary

WM is seeking a senior operations leader to manage the day-to-day activities of the Homer, GA landfill. You will drive safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence while controlling costs and coordinating with site leadership.

The role requires strong experience in landfill operations, permitting, and personnel management. Location is on-site with a focus on continuous improvement and community relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree.
• High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years relevant work experience.
• 7 years relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day landfill operations and safety compliance.
• Manage permitting, leachate and gas management.
• Monitor and reduce operating costs while maximizing productivity.
• Track waste volume and weight and report results.
• Lead department staffing: hiring, coaching, training and performance evaluations.
