Job summary

Advocate Health Care's Carolinas Medical Center—Core Lab is seeking a senior leader to oversee laboratory operations within a defined service area. You will drive resource optimization, financial performance, safety, staff engagement, and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include collaborating with pathologists and leaders, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and advancing enterprise lab strategies across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology.
• 10 years of leadership experience in management of staff, budgets, and multiple laboratory functions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates & supports regional operations and medical leaders across markets to strengthen the region and/or enterprise.
• Works with pathologists and leadership to ensure services support clinical/safety initiatives.
• Directs and oversees efficient operations and acts as a liaison to administration and leadership.
• Plans and participates in projects to meet strategic initiatives and implement quantitative outcomes.
• Develops, implements, and monitors budget compliance.
• Analyzes laboratory fiscal needs, patient satisfaction information, and departmental performance.
