Risk Placement Services, Inc. is seeking a dynamic business development professional to join our hybrid insurance team in San Francisco.

You will connect Retail Agents with national markets and deliver underwriting solutions through strong carrier relationships, driving revenue growth. The role demands proven relationship management, sharp analytical skills, and the ability to leverage data to craft comprehensive insurance solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience.
• Home state P&C license (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
• Sales experience in insurance or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new business with Retail Agents and Carrier Underwriters.
• Market and sell wholesale insurance solutions to hit production goals.
• Build relationships with Specialty Carriers for competitive pricing and access to coverage.
• Pre-qualify submissions and match with best carriers and coverage.
• Analyze submissions to determine best carrier, coverage, forms, and premium.
• Gather client risk information and identify exposures for quotes.
• Stay ahead of industry trends affecting underwriting guidelines and pricing.
• Educate partners on RPS’s range of risk solutions.
• Lead and train support teams when assigned.
• Travel as needed to meet clients and carriers.
