Risk Placement Services, Inc. is seeking a dynamic hybrid role that blends marketing and underwriting. You will connect Retail Agents with national markets, grow revenue, and deliver underwriting solutions through strong carrier relationships.

Expect to spend ~75% of time marketing and selling and ~25% underwriting, traveling to engage clients and carriers. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years’ experience are required, with a state P&C license or ability to obtain within 90 days.

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new business with Retail Agents and Carrier Underwriters.
• Market and sell wholesale insurance solutions to achieve production goals and grow your book of business.
• Build strong relationships with Specialty Carriers to ensure competitive pricing and access to coverage on various types of risk.
• Pre-qualify submissions and focus on high-probability sales opportunities while following Carrier guidelines.
• Analyze submissions from Retail Agents and determine the best available Carrier, coverage, forms, and premium.
• Gather information on client risks and identify additional areas of exposure for quoting.
• Stay ahead of industry and market trends that impact underwriting guidelines, pricing, and premiums.
• Lead, train, and oversee support team when assigned.
