Job summary

Risk Placement Services, Inc. seeks a dynamic Insurance Sales & Underwriting professional in California. This hybrid role focuses onMarketing/sales (75%) and underwriting (25%), connecting Retail Agents with national markets to drive revenue.

You'll build carrier relationships, qualify submissions, and deliver competitive insurance solutions while growing your book of business. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience are preferred.

• Proven business development and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new business through networking with Retail Agents and Carrier Underwriters.
• Market and sell wholesale insurance solutions to achieve production goals.
• Build strong relationships with Specialty Carriers for competitive pricing and access.
• Pre-qualify submissions and follow carrier guidelines.
• Analyze submissions and determine best carrier coverage and premium.
• Gather client risk information and identify additional exposures.
• Stay ahead of industry trends that impact underwriting guidelines and pricing.
• Educate partners on RPS’s range of risk solutions.
• Lead, train, and oversee support team when assigned.
• Travel as needed to engage with clients and carriers.
