Job summary
Risk Placement Services, Inc. is seeking an ambitious Underwriter/Broker to drive revenue by delivering efficient underwriting services to Retail Agents and accessing national markets through Carrier relationships.
You’ll blend strategic business development with deep risk analysis to expand coverage and profitability. You'll pre-qualify submissions, build strong carrier partnerships, and stay ahead of market trends.
Qualifications
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Business development and relationship-building with Retail Brokers.
- Proactive in driving toward production goals.
- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue growth.
- Leverage data/tools to identify risks and craft solutions.
Responsibilities
- Prospect for new business with Independent Retail Agents and Carriers.
- Build relationships with Specialty Carriers for pricing access.
- Pre-qualify submissions to target high-probability opportunities.
- Develop expertise on product line insurance solutions.
- Analyze submissions to select best carrier, coverage, and premium.
- Gather client risk information and identify exposures.
- Stay updated on industry trends affecting underwriting.
- Ensure partners understand RPS risk solutions.
- Possible to lead a support team.
- Willingness to travel.
