Job summary

Sun Chemical, a leading ink and materials company, seeks an experienced technical ink specialist to support customers in Wisconsin and the surrounding region. The role emphasizes process improvement, ink blending, and collaboration with product management to ensure customer success.

Expect extensive travel (70%) with overnight stays as you coordinate trials, color matching, and timely delivery of products and services across Wisconsin and North Illinois area.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of ink industry experience.
• Experience with Kepner-Tregoe, Six Sigma and SunMatch.
• Experience with industry laboratory and press equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives with customers and Sun employees.
• Make product selection decisions and conduct trials; develop custom products.
• Provide training on ink blending, inventory, and in-house processes.
• Document field activity with Salesforce; complete call and trial reports.
• Submit and follow up regional color match lab requests.
• Provide emergency backfill support for products with sudden demand loss.
