Job summary

Low Country Cancer Care is seeking a registered nurse to provide safe and efficient patient care, including assessment, review of labs, dose verification, and medication administration. The role requires following JBIs, triage care, and effective communication with the multidisciplinary team.

The nurse will educate patients and families about medications, side effects, and the planned course of treatment while maintaining chart accuracy in the EMR and ensuring proper charge capture for services

Qualifications

• Nursing degree and RN license in state of employment.
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in clinic or hospital settings.
• Fluency in English with excellent written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, supportive care and non-oncologic agents.
• Thorough documentation of treatment in EMR and proper documentation of charges.
• Educate patients and caregivers about medications, side effects and treatment course.
• Triage calls and messages from patients, family, hospitals and physicians.
• Maintain inventory and assist with stocking of medical supplies; replenish as needed.
