Job summary

Low Country Cancer Care is seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse to join our clinical team. You will administer chemotherapy and other therapies, assess patients, and document care in the EMR system. The role requires strong critical thinking, excellent communication, and interprofessional collaboration.

Responsibilities include triage, patient education, and coordination with multiple sites. Travel to other clinic locations and overtime may be required, with a pay range of $24.83 - $46.12 per

Qualifications

  • Nursing degree required.
  • Unencumbered RN license in state of employment or multi-state license.
  • Current CPR and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, accurate patient care including assessment and monitoring.
  • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy and supportive care as ordered.
  • Document treatment in EMR accurately and timely.
  • Triage patient calls and messages from patients, families, hospitals, nursing facilities and physician offices.
  • Educate patients and caregivers about medications, side effects and treatment plans.
  • Ensure proper disposal of biohazardous waste per OSHA/NIOSH guidelines.
  • Attend mandatory trainings and staff meetings; maintain patient and employee confidentiality.
  • Assist in training new staff as needed; may work at multiple locations and overtime may be required.
