Job summary

Florida Oncology and Hematology is seeking a registered nurse to deliver safe, accurate patient care in chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive services. You will assess patients, review labs, verify doses, and document in the EMR per JBIs and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include patient education, triage, inventory support, and training new staff. Must hold an Florida RN license, CPR/BLS, and be able to work across multiple clinic locations; some overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Nursing Degree required.
• Unencumbered RN license in state of employment or multi-state license.
• Current CPR and BLS certifications.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting.
• Fluency in English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, and supportive care as ordered.
• Conduct patient assessments, review labs and vital signs, and verify doses.
• Provide patient education on medications, side effects and treatment plans.
• Document all treatments accurately in the EMR and ensure proper coding for charges.
• Assist with triage calls and coordinate care with multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain inventory and assist with supplies and training of new staff.
• Adhere to JBIs, OSHA/NIOSH guidelines, privacy laws, and company policies; overtime may be required.
