Job summary

United Abrasives, Inc. seeks a driven sales representative to manage all sales and business development activities within the Pittsburgh region. You will receive comprehensive training at our facility to become a specialist in our industry and to build lasting customer relationships.

This role offers the opportunity to listen to customers, solve problems, and expand earning potential through performance-based compensation while working with end-users and distributors across multiple channels.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of sales experience in an industrial setting.
• Up-to-date knowledge of industrial distribution practices and trends.
• Knowledge of welding, metal fabricating, woodworking, and power tools is helpful.
• Military background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-user sales through multiple distribution channels.
• Uncover new sales opportunities and convert them into customers.
• Demonstrate products to end users emphasizing the financial impact of improved performance, safety, and quality.
• Manage and consistently update sales leads to track progress.
• Effective management of end-users and distributors with high quality follow through ensuring territory growth objectives are achieved.
• Overnight travel required (access to transportation and a valid driver’s license required).
