Job summary

Signal Centers is seeking an Inclusion Coach to advance best practices for children with disabilities in early childhood settings across Tennessee. You will partner with CCR&R Network, provide technical assistance, and develop trainings for educators and families while traveling within the Upper East Tennessee region.

You will lead coaching on developmental delays and disabilities, collaborate with state agencies and AIMHiTN, and help implement tools and resources to improve inclusion outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in this or related field.
• Experience working with children with disabilities in an early childhood environment.
• Dependable transportation, valid driver’s license and insurance for frequent travel within the service area.
• Physical examination and TB test on file; excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Must be able to work from a remote home environment within the state of TN and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify best practices related to inclusion of children with disabilities in early childhood classrooms and share with the team.
• Train CCR&R Network in quality practices related to inclusion of children with disabilities.
• Attend meetings, conference calls and on-site visits for Developmental Services Coaches.
• Assist educators with referrals to TEIS and local school systems to expedite assessments and transitions.
• Collaborate with AIMHiTN and CCDF Partners to develop trainings on inclusion.
• Create tools and resources for child care agencies and families; develop a Coaching Plan for educators.
• Provide specialized technical assistance for social-emotional aspects of disabilities and developmental delays.
• Support EQIPs, parent navigation of resources, and disaster preparedness initiatives.
