Job summary

EDP Renewables is seeking a Regional HV Commissioning Lead to oversee field commissioning of substation electrical/control and protection systems across sites in the region.

The role requires 10+ years of HV experience, NEC knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel as needed. This is a remote/hybrid position based in Houston, TX with oversight of multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with substantial HV experience.
• 10+ years of related high-voltage experience and substation commissioning knowledge.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to read construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and inspections of substation commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with site HV Electrical Inspectors and contractors.
• Maintain daily progress reports and documentation.
• Ensure commissioning activities meet project documents, specs, and schedule.
• Review contractor schedules and assist project team to meet objectives.
• Travel to multiple sites within the region as required.
