Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute is seeking a Field HR Manager to lead talent development, onboarding, retention, and leadership development across 16 locations in IL, MN, WI, and IA. You will partner with the Area HR Manager to apply enterprise programs consistently while coaching managers on policy execution and compliance.

This role requires strong communication, a proactive, self-driven approach, and the ability to work in a matrixed organization, with up to 50% overnight

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years’ experience in Staffing, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
• SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HR functions and employment law.
• Willingness to travel 50% overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead local associate experience and retention efforts through onboarding, engagement surveys, and recognition events.
• Support recruiting activity and advise on diverse local recruiting sources.
• Collaborate on leadership recruiting needs and participate in the selection process for critical roles.
• Oversee annual talent review and succession planning, and leverage Leadership Development tools.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies and payroll-related issues.
