Job summary

Penske in Bolingbrook, IL seeks a Field Human Resources Manager to lead HR initiatives across 16 locations in IL, MN, WI, and IA. You will drive onboarding, retention, leadership development, workforce planning, and compliance while coaching managers on policy execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years’ experience in Staffing, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
• Professional certification in SHRM or HRCI is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HR functions and employment law.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to travel 50% overnight.
• Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

Responsibilities

• Lead local associate experience and retention efforts through onboarding, orientation, and engagement programs.
• Identify and design solutions to address local retention challenges.
• Support D&I efforts and foster an inclusive work environment.
• Support recruiting and staffing activities with local sourcing insights.
• Collaborate with Area HR Manager on start-up activities for new business.
• Coordinate compensation discussions with Area HR Manager and Compensation teams.
• Oversee performance management, leadership development, and succession planning.
• Provide HR analytics and metrics to guide local decisions.
• Ensure compliance with laws and Penske policies and resolve payroll issues promptly.
