Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Regional Human Resource Manager to partner with store and regional leadership, ensuring effective HR delivery across multiple markets. You will oversee employee relations, performance, policy compliance, and training, while traveling 30–50% to Chicago and surrounding markets including Minneapolis, Milwaukee, and St.

Louis. You will lead engagement, talent management, and workforce planning, coaching leaders to maximize team performance.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S./B.A. degree in a business or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years professional experience.
• 5-7 years of HR specific experience in a corporate retail setting, multi-unit a plus.
• Previous case management experience (to include corrective action processes, termination, conflict mediation, etc.)
• Preferred grocery retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with field operations teams on employee relations issues.
• Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems.
• Conduct needs assessments and group training.
• Provide guidance on policy interpretation and compliant HR practices.
• Lead talent management initiatives and engagement activities.
• Support leadership with performance appraisals and feedback.
• Assist in career path and workforce planning discussions.
• Coach Store Directors and Managers on performance.
• Oversee staffing to meet business needs.
• Analyze training needs and language health and safety programs.
• Leverage engagement data to improve HR policies.
• Develop and manage special HR projects.
