Job summary

firstPRO, Inc. seeks a strategic Regional HR Director to lead HR across the Potomac region, covering Maryland and nearby areas.

The role is fully onsite with 25–35% travel, reporting to the CHRO and partnering with executive leadership to drive cultural and operational improvements in manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain. You will oversee a regional HR team, manage union relations, and shape talent acquisition, retention, and compliance programs.

Qualifications

• Extensive, hands-on experience managing a unionized workforce.
• 5–7 years HR generalist/leadership experience in manufacturing or distribution.
• 3+ years supervising HR teams.
• Strong change management, financial acumen, and HR systems knowledge.
• BA/BS in HR, Psychology, or related field; travel 25–35%.
• PHR/SHRM certification is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a regional HR team across multiple sites with union and non-union workforces.
• Manage labor relations, grievances, arbitration support, and collective bargaining agreements.
• Drive change management and process improvements across operations.
• Design staffing strategies and retention programs for all levels.
• Oversee employee relations, investigations, and regional compliance audits.
• Partner with CHRO and executives on workforce planning and KPIs.
