Job summary

Guardian Angel Senior Services is seeking a Full‑time Home Care Manager or Hands‑on Regional Manager to oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Boston office, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards while delivering outstanding client care and satisfaction.

The role manages Nursing, Home Health Aide/CNA, PCA, Homemaker and Companion services, leads scheduling, supports recruitment, and helps develop organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience and personal care experience.
• Minimum of 2 years’ management experience, preferably leading paraprofessionals.
• Ability to interface professionally with clients and families.
• Knowledge of government contract management with ASAPS is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with Internet, email, and electronic documentation.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with compassion and patience.
• Urgency, resourcefulness, and proactive approach.
• Strong decision‑making, negotiation, and time‑management skills.
• Willingness to work beyond normal hours, including evenings/weekends/holidays.
• Valid MA driver’s license and vehicle for travel; insurance.
• Participation in off‑hours On‑Call backup support.

Responsibilities

• Set standards for new client acceptance and service hours targets.
• Identify network development opportunities with leads and follow up with Regional Manager.
• Oversee scheduling: client/caregiver matches, shifts, data accuracy, cancellations, overtime, On‑Call.
• Develop schedules collaboratively with clients and caregivers.
• Swap caregiver schedules based on client priorities.
• Match caregivers to client needs and strengths.
• Maintain communication with clients, families, caregivers, and case managers.
• Ensure care plans are up to date with Nursing staff involvement.
• Deliver competent, quality home care.
• Anticipate issues to maintain quality care and manage risks.
• Assist in recruiting office staff.
• Manage phone triage and interoffice communication.
• Prepare payroll schedules.
• Train new staff and improve retention.
