Job summary

Guardian Angel Senior Services in Gloucester, MA is seeking a Full-time Assisted Home Care Manager to oversee day-to-day office operations and manage home care services, including Nursing, Home Health Aide/CNA, PCA, Homemaker, and Companion care.

The role requires leadership to ensure quality client care and satisfaction, development of organizational strategies, and collaboration with recruiting and support teams. Weekend/evening coverage and on-call responsibilities are expected.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years' experience and personal care experience required.
• Two (2) years' management experience required, preferably with paraprofessionals.
• Ability to interface effectively and professionally with clients and families.
• Knowledge of government contract management with ASAPS a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; comfortable using Internet and email; documenting electronically.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with compassion, understanding and patience.
• Sense of urgency; resourceful and proactive.
• Excellent decision making, negotiation and time management skills.
• Willingness to work beyond normal hours including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Valid MA driver's license; vehicle for work-related travel; appropriate insurance.
• Participate in off hours On-Call backup support and coverage.

Responsibilities

• Set the standard for accepting new clients and hitting hours-of-service goals.
• Identify opportunities for network development with new leads.
• Oversee scheduling: client/caregiver matches, shifts, data entry accuracy, cancellations, overtime, On-Call.
• Develop schedules with clients and caregivers using problem solving.
• Swap caregiver schedules based on client priority levels.
• Match clients and caregivers based on needs and strengths.
• Communicate with clients, families, caregivers, case managers and others via home visits, meetings, calls, emails and notes.
• Ensure plans of care are up to date with Nursing staff.
• Deliver competent, high-quality patient care at home.
• Anticipate client/caregiver issues to maintain quality care; address risk.
• Assist in recruiting office staff; manage phone triage and interoffice communication.
• Prepare payroll schedules.
• Train new office and On-Call staff; improve retention and onboarding.
• Oversee caregiver holiday schedules; monthly QA reports; attend QA meetings.
• Perform Home Visits; create care plans and complete paperwork.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Health or Human Service-related field
