Qualifications

• Must pass a medical physical and drug test.
• Must pass a background check.
• Preferred high school diploma or GED and/or foreign education acceptable.
• Bi-lingual language skills a plus.
• Diesel mechanic school or certification preferred.
• Previous experience hydraulic repairs a plus.
• Forklift experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive company mechanic truck to yards in a region.
• Trouble shoot problems with machinery.
• Repair engines, engine-cooling systems, drivetrain parts, brake systems, and basic electrical parts.
• Remove and replace hydraulic system parts and attachments (shears, forks, grapples).
• Remove and repair body parts, ladders, platforms, catwalks, and engine covers.
• Perform limited torch cutting and welding.
• Clean up work area and keep areas neat and orderly.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental rules and procedures.
