Job summary

SA Recycling LLC is seeking a diesel mechanic to service multiple scrap yard locations. The role involves driving the company mechanic truck, diagnosing machinery issues, and repairing engines, cooling systems, hydraulics, and electrical components. Welding, torch cutting, and forklift experience are a plus.

Candidates should be prepared for physical work and safety-oriented environment. High school diploma or GED preferred; bilingual English/Spanish is advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must pass medical physical and drug test.
• Background check required.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Diesel mechanic training or certification preferred.
• Experience with hydraulic repairs a plus.
• Forklift experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Drive company mechanic truck to various yards in a given region.
• Troubleshoot problems with machinery.
• Repair engines, cooling systems, drivetrain parts, brakes, and basic electrical parts.
• Repair hydraulic system parts and attachments.
• Repair body parts, ladders, platforms, and engine covers.
• Perform limited torch cutting and welding.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and safety compliance.
• Ensure timely attendance and reliability.
