Job summary

Florida Department of Children and Families seeks a Government Operations Consultant II OPS to provide regional oversight of community-based care for individuals involved with the forensic and civil services system. You will work across circuit courts, criminal justice partners, and mental health providers to promote least restrictive community treatment.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or criminal justice and four years of criminal justice experience.
• Master's degree can substitute for one year of required experience, or professional experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• Strong written and oral communication, training, and policy analysis skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide regional oversight of community-based system of care for persons committed or at risk under Chapter 916, Florida Statutes.
• Coordinate presentations and training sessions for judges, attorneys, and circuit court staff.
• Identify trends and opportunities for improvement in diversions and continuity of care, and assist with data reporting.
