Job summary

Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking a Behavioral Health Consultant OPS to operate within the SunCoast Regional Office, delivering behavioral health assessments and coordination for families involved with child welfare services. The role emphasizes collaboration with CPIs and investigators in a regional office setting.

The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis, stakeholder communication, and clinical knowledge to support treatment access and service coordination

Qualifications

• Knowledge of data collection and analysis.
• Knowledge of basic management principles.
• Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Establish relationships with CPIs in co-located office space and educate on behavioral health.
• Educate CPIs on MAT and engage in field investigations and consultations.
• Collaborate with investigative staff to assess danger threats and parental protective capacities.
• Maintain knowledge of community mental health and substance use providers.
• Track referrals and entry into treatment for parents with behavioral health disorders.
• Participate in legal, multi-disciplinary, and other meetings to assist staff and families.
• Performs other duties as required to meet program goals.
