Job summary

Richelieu Hardware Ltd. is seeking a General Manager to take full operational responsibility for its US region, including Boston, MA; Portland, ME; Rocky Hill, CT and surrounding areas.

You will lead regional sales growth, coach managers, and oversee branch operations to ensure on-time shipping and strong P&L performance. As a member of an international team with a focus on people, culture, and growth, you will drive process improvements, recruit and develop talent, monitor daily KPIs, and

Qualifications

• Leadership of outside sales and operations teams in industrial or building materials distribution.
• Commercial or sales-driven mindset with leadership in sales.
• Deep knowledge of branch office operations with P&L responsibility.
• Empathetic leader who develops team members.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels internally and with suppliers/customers.
• KPI-oriented and well organized.

Responsibilities

• Drive regional sales growth through coaching and strategy for sales managers and/or the outside sales team.
• Take personal ownership for the strategic growth of customer accounts.
• Provide support and organization to Branch Managers, enabling Richelieu to efficiently process customer orders and manage shipping/receiving.
• Maintain accountability for complete P&L, taking full responsibility for the growth and success of the region.
• Ensure an effective flow of communication with all personnel involved in follow-up of customer service and shipping/receiving duties.
• Oversee and ensure all logistics-related operations comply with applicable environmental, health, safety, and other regulatory rules and regulations.
• Advise their managers in recruitment and team development by overseeing the hiring, supervising, and training employees for the purpose of achieving company goals and objectives.
• Establish and execute strategies to improve on our existing processes, procedures, and methods, ensuring efficiency throughout all departments.
• Maintain a detailed awareness of daily KPI’s with regards to sales and operations performance.
• Instill and drive a positive working culture by leading from the front, creating an environment that individuals desire to be a part of.
