Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the Bismarck division’s project management and align with AP’s goals. You will drive regional strategy, oversee operations, and develop client relationships while ensuring safety and profitability across multiple projects.

The role demands strong leadership, a background in construction management, and a proven ability to manage complex programs with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of people management experience.
• Advanced proficiency with scheduling, spreadsheets, cost control, and project management software including Prolog, Microsoft Project, P6.

Responsibilities

• Take personal accountability for safety and an IIF culture.
• Partner with regional leaders to develop strategies and drive regional results.
• Lead subregional operations to maximize performance and profitability.
• Ensure projects meet client expectations on time and budget.
• Maintain operational excellence and implement best practices across the region.
• Build and retain top talent, manage staffing and performance throughout the team.
