Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to craft and execute a regional growth strategy, identify new markets and clients, and drive profitable expansion in alignment with AP’s mission.

The role emphasizes safety, relationship building with C-suite, collaboration with marketing, and leadership across pursuit teams; extensive travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or related field and 6+ years in selling/new business development.
• MBA preferred; strong consultative selling and CRM experience.
• Experience leading complex sales processes with multiple decision makers (C-suite).

Responsibilities

• Develop new business through pursuit of strategic targets and relationship building.
• Build a network for lead gathering to prospect, contact, and meet potential clients.
• Lead sales processes: strategy development, pursuit, proposals, and project negotiations.
• Partner with marketing to create effective market segmentation, value proposition, pricing, branding, and communications.
• Manage resources within budget and corporate governance guidelines.
