Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a Float Teller to enhance branch customer experiences through digital engagement, lobby management, and retail servicing interactions. You will travel between branches to support staff, balance transactions, and promptly address customer needs.

The role requires strong communication, data entry, and cash handling skills, with a focus on accurate, compliant processing and customer-centric service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of customer service experience.
• Experience with data entry and cash handling.
• Proven verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional branch service with in-person and digital interactions.
• Educate customers through shoulder-to-shoulder digital demonstrations and identify self-service opportunities.
• Balance and process transactions accurately following Bank Policy.
• Resolve escalated account issues and log complaints in the appropriate system.
• Assist with lobby management, greet customers, and refer opportunities to banking partners.
• Complete AML/KYC/BSA related activities and ensure compliance with procedures.
