Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care (Schweiz) AG seeks a Dialysis Experienced RN for a float CAP-1 role covering clinics in Iowa, Illinois, and Nebraska. The RN will coordinate care, assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient needs within the ESKD care team.

The role requires entry-level CAP credentials, state RN licensure, and CPR/BLS certification. Duties include education, patient care delivery, and support across multiple facilities with potential travel.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs all essential functions under supervision with guidance from the Clinical Educator and RN team.
• Collects and analyzes patient data pre–during–post hemodialysis and documents in medical records.
• Assesses and documents patient educational needs for initial and ongoing education.
• Provides safe, effective hemodialysis delivery with the care team.
• Administers medications as prescribed and documents justification and effectiveness.
• Initiates or assists with emergency response measures.
• Leads or trains staff as assigned and participates in orientation.
• Ensures proper lab collection, processing, and shipping and reschedules missed samples.
• Documents nursing assessment and care plan updates with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Educates patients about transplant options and treatment modalities.
