Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an outpatient RN CAP 2 to join the Clinical Advancement Program. The role involves composing and coordinating care for an assigned patient group during hemodialysis, with potential delegation to RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians.

The position emphasizes teaching, leadership, and quality improvement within the ESKD care team. You will participate in care planning, adjust treatment plans as needed, and support emergency responses.

Qualifications

• Entry level RN with 2+ years of nephrology nursing experience.
• Current state RN licensure in good standing.
• CPR/BLS certification must be current.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for an assigned patient group during hemodialysis.
• Document data collection and adjust treatment plans per protocol and guidance.
• Provide patient/family education on care and treatment options.
• Lead and mentor new staff and coordinate with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Administer medications and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Ensure proper lab collection, processing, and reporting.
