Job summary

Ascension is seeking a part-time, night-shift nurse to provide direct patient care in a busy Med Surg setting. You will monitor and document patient conditions, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and ensure orders are accurately carried out according to hospital policy.

The role requires an active Wisconsin RN license and BLS within 30 days. Pediatric life support is preferred and tuition benefits may be available.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 1 month of hire.
• Registered Nurse licensed in Wisconsin prior to hire.
• PALS preferred.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

Provide direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
