Job summary

Ascension, Milwaukee facility, is seeking a Nurse Aide for evening PRN coverage in the Float Staffing department. You will assist patients with entry/exit and daily living tasks, report changes to nursing staff, and maintain room cleanliness and equipment.

This role requires a Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry credential and BLS certification. You’ll work in a hospital setting with opportunities for professional growth, benefits, and support for continuing education.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of relevant job-specific experience.
• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry prior to hire; additional certs may be required by location.

Your future role at a glance

• Department: Float Staffing
• Schedule: Evening Shift l PRN

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Aid with entry and exit of patients.
• Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records.
• Responsible for keeping patient rooms clean and orderly as well as maintaining medical equipment.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work in a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Additional certs may be required by specific job locations.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
