Prime Electric seeks a Director of Fleet Operations to lead acquisition, maintenance, and management of its vehicle and equipment fleet across multiple regions, with regular travel to jobsites and offices.

You will develop fleet strategies, manage vendor relationships, ensure OSHA/DOT compliance, and oversee budgeting and safety programs. A Bachelor's degree and 10+ years in fleet management are expected, with strong leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years in logistics or fleet/related industries; 3+ years in management.
• Valid state driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Proven experience in fleet management and procurement.
• Knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance procedures.
• Understanding of transportation safety regulations (OSHA/DOT).
• Proficient with fleet software and GPS systems.
• Strong leadership and team management ability.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fleet operations across PRIME regions (CA, PNW, Portland) with travel up to 30%.
• Direct management of equipment procurement, maintenance, and replacement.
• Develop fleet strategies to ensure cost-effective operations.
• Collaborate with departments to meet business objectives and efficiency goals.
• Supervise maintenance and repair activities to keep vehicles ready for use.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, DOT, licensing and reporting.
• Analyze fleet performance and report to senior management.
• Develop and manage the fleet operations budget.
• Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for purchases and services.
• Develop safety policies and driver training programs.
• Oversee disposition of fleet assets and lifecycle management.
• Maintain records, licenses, inspections, warrantees, and service agreements.
