Job summary

Prime Electric is seeking a Senior Fleet Manager to direct the acquisition, operations, management and maintenance of its vehicle fleet across multiple regions. Travel up to 30% to jobsites and offices will be required.

You will oversee procurement, maintenance, safety, budget, and vendor relationships to ensure efficient, compliant operations. The role requires a decade of fleet management experience, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of OSHA/DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or related field with 10+ years’ experience, incl. 3+ years in management.
• Valid state driver’s license and insurable with a good driving record.
• Proven work experience in fleet and equipment management.
• Knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance procedures.
• Understanding of transportation and safety regulations.
• Proficient in fleet management software and GPS systems.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage fleet operations across PRIME regions with travel up to 30%.
• Direct procurement, maintenance, repairs, and safety compliance of equipment.
• Develop fleet strategies for cost-effective operations.
• Collaborate with departments to sustain operational efficiency.
• Supervise fleet maintenance and ensure vehicle availability.
• Monitor and ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, DOT, etc.).
• Analyze fleet performance and report to senior management.
• Develop and manage fleet operations budget.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors for fleet purchases and services.
• Oversee driver training and safety programs.
• Manage asset disposition and records for equipment.
