Job summary

Qualus seeks a Field Services Manager in our Field Engineering department to lead project teams within a defined region. This role reports to the Field Services Area Manager and bridges gaps when regional constraints arise.

You will provide support for a group of field teams across a geographic area. Responsibilities include leading and holding staff accountable, coordinating with Area Manager policy implementation, ensuring safety and quality, overseeing scheduling, training collaboration,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Protection and Control Testing and Commissioning in a field role.
• 5+ years of management experience in the energy sector.
• Experience in substation commissioning; SCADA/Fault Data/SER/Integration-Automation equipment installation and testing; Project Management; Power Systems; Power Generation; Utility Management.
• Excellent communication, people, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated field supervision and leadership to guide employees to successful project outcomes.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage employee relations and change management.
• Strong technical understanding of protection and control concepts and electrical apparatus for electric utilities and power systems.
• Safety, Quality and Human Performance focused.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead, Manage and Hold Staff Accountable.
• Implement Field Services organizational policies & strategies.
• Own assigned service area safety performance.
• Perform safety and human performance observations in the field.
• Mentor and lead field service supervisors and staff.
• Provide scheduling oversight for projects in the region.
• Collaborate with training team to provide region training.
• Collaborate with Project Management to ensure projects stay within budget.
• Coordinate with client management to ensure satisfaction of work.
• Attend weekly leadership meetings and communicate region updates.
• Establish client relations and respond to bids as needed.
• Collaborate with recruiting and assist in hiring for the region.
• Assign projects to field staff and organize regular team meetings.
